Lotus School for Excellence Shines at Regional National History Day Contest
Our talented middle school historians recently traveled to the Auraria Downtown Campus to compete in the annual Aurora/East Denver Regional National History Day Contest. Despite the presence of hundreds of competitors from across the region, our students rose to the occasion and brought home an impressive number of awards.
We are proud to announce that 16 Lotus students are regional winners and have qualified for the State Contest taking place in just five weeks!
Among the winners are:
-
Four 6th graders
-
Seven 7th graders
-
Five 8th graders
These outstanding students will go on to compete against over 4,000 young historians from across Colorado for a chance to qualify for the National Contest in Washington, D.C. To date, Lotus has proudly sent 12 students to Nationals, and we are excited to see that number grow this year.
Congratulations to all of our regional winners! Your hard work, research, and dedication to history are an inspiration to us all.
